About Alie

Loving any excuse to bake, today I was preparing goodies for a picnic. For once, everything turned out as it said in the recipe. (The bread is still in the oven actually, but it smells yummy in here.) I have recipes saved in books, on Pinterest and in my Bookmarks but I can never remember which recipes I’ve tried before and what worked and what didn’t. So, I’m going to stick everything I’ve tried on here.

Having graduated as a primary teacher last June, been travelling, done half a graphic design degree, baked a few bits for weddings and parties, it’s safe to say I’m not sure what I want to do with my life. Or rather, I’m not sure how to turn what I love doing into a career. Until I figure it out I will continue to bake myself happy and then trudge to the gym so that I can do it all again.

I love baking, and decorating, and generally being hyper-organised… usually making my own decorations and cakes when the opportunity arises. I like things to turn out exactly as they look in my head, I love doing it, and because it’s cheaper! Nothing makes me happier than seeing other people excited over a cake I’ve baked or an event I’ve organised.
